I must tell you, two boys really surprised me during one of the activities. They were asked if the adoption agency should have adopted Squirrel to the family and provide reasons why or why not. Most of the class though they should have, but two of the boys (who normally don't participate or write much) were quite emphatic that they would be a bad family to adopt to and showed critical thinking skills with fantastic reasons why not. After they shared, the rest of the class changed their minds and agreed with them. Thank you so much for letting me see what these students are capable of!
